WEREWOLF 2.0

This is an animatronic suit that will apparent in a brand name product commercial to be shot in mid Sept. 2012. This will be a full suit, which will appear in our online store, and completely replace the original werewolf mask currently for sale.

Sculptures

The Minotaur Mask is the first mask in our new Mythology Collection which will be released in 2012. This mask is designed to be fully animatronic, but will also be available as a display mask. When complete, the Minotaur will be more than just a mask; it will be an entire suit complete with gloves, digigrade legs, and more.

This mask was based on the Brahman Bull and displays a number the animal's distinctive features. For instance, the long ears and sagging skin. We felt the Brahman lent a depth to our character which could inspire beauty as well as fear.

The Predator sculpture was for a specific client. The client wanted a wearable mask that could also sever as a display. They wanted an original Predator. So we started researching what was already out there and came to a conclusion. WOW! There is a lot of artists creating Predator masks. We decided on a more primitive look, something that looked like it could be the Predator's answer to the Neanderthal. The sculpture will soon be converted to a mold, and the casting and finishing will begin. Amazingly, there are literally a over a hundred individual pieces that go into a Predator mask alone. A serious undertaking to say the least.

The Werewolf

This 22" werewolf sculpture is a concept piece for an 8' werewolf costume commissioned by a European indie filmmaker. Once cast, replicas will be available here at the EDS Store.

"The zombies were a blast. I really enjoyed playing around with concepts and fleshing the beasts out." Russ Adams

This werewolf sculpture represents EDS' first mask released for private purchase. You can learn more about the werewolf project by clicking "HERE".

The chimp project was a personal defiance. After seeing the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" in the summer of 2011, I was agitated by Wyatt's use of CG in opposition to Burton's use of actual Makeup and appliances. Learn more about this project by clicking "HERE".

More to Come!
