ABOUT EDS

Escape’ Design Studios was founded in 1996. In the beginning our focus was on costuming, but since 2003 EDS has expanded our focus to special effects, props, and makeup. Though we have earned numerous third parting contracts on some huge Hollywood productions, we have always considered independent film as our mainstay.

EDS founded Independent Filmmaking, an association of  filmmakers catering to truly independent film productions. EDS prides itself on creating high quality products to fit into indie film budgets. 

EDS expanded its view in 2007 creating an independent production company called Ritual Pictures, and in 2011 Kerr Clan Films, a stop motion animation house. Keeping its roots in the indie world is extremely important to us. As indie filmmakers ourselves, we know the struggles of creating something spectacular on a limited budget. We take pride in catering to those independent films budgets.
