Escape' Design Studio was contracted to create the costumes for the Ritual Pictures film, OISIN. OISIN was a period piece set during the medieval times. The subject matter placed a heavy demand on the costume design. OISIIN premiered at the 2009 Doorpost Film Project, film festival. The film received high praise for its costuming and set design. We are proud to have been a part of the project.
We are currently creating the costumes for MALICE, and THE LIGHT OF DAIGH. All told, there will be 120 costumes created to bring the middle ages back to life.
EDS owner Russ Adams, worked on the Elizabethan Gown for Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
The gown was of natural muslin. The skirt alone took 11 yards of the fabric. The jewels on the gown's sleeves were designed, sculpted, and cast by the EDS Team.
The estimated value of the dress is over $7500. Labor alone was calculated at $5000.
Those involved with this project were extremely proud of the achievement, as were the WSU recipients.
